The Harmelings

Last week, I dowloaded the first Jane’s Addiction show that I ever attended – May 1, 1989 at Montezuma Hall at SDSU. 1,000 people, SRO. Power went out prematurely, so Perry shouted “Jane Says” while Stephen played the congo drums. (The recording unfortunately missed that part.) I thought I had all the bootlegs…and then I found the one that meant the most.

I remembered hearing that the original JA lineup had played a gig or two around LA last year. I was curious to check out the setlists. Here’s what I found:
